QR Code Treasure Hunt Generator
This is a great website to create a treasure hunt using QR codes, it also requires no internet connection to use.
You input a series of questions that you want students to answer. The website generates a QR code for each question. You then print and post the QR codes around your classroom or even the school. Students use the questions to find the next QR code and answer that question. |
Google URL Shortener
Goo.gl is Google's URL shortening tool. When you shorten a link with Goo.gl a QR code is created for it too. To find the QR code, click the "details" link after your shortened URL has been made. The details page also shows you how many times your link has been used. This is useful to me if I want to make sure that all of my students have used the link. If I see that the link or QR code has been used 17 times, but I have 25 students, I immediately seek out the students who haven't followed the link.

Interactive Bulletin Boards
Mrs. Boyd used QR codes to create this interactive bulletin board. Each QR code links to information regarding a specific environmental disaster.
Creating a bulletin board in this way could be done using pictures or text as the cue and then create a QR code linking to a website with information about that specific object or term. |
Create Learning StationsPut codes in different areas of the room that will take students to different online activities, videos or content.
Differentiate InstructionPerhaps you have a poem for students to analyze. You can provide additional scaffolding with a link to a recitation or focused questions to get them started. Use the QR to help you manage differentiation of the various strategies in your tool belt of teacher practices.

Check Answers & ReflectHave students check their answers by scanning the QR code after completing a test or assignment. As a teacher, you can visually confirm when students are checking their work and can also check in to see how they are doing.
HomeworkInstead of writing the homework assignment on the board or printing off pages of the assignment, have students scan a QR code with information on specific problems or tasks that need to be completed for homework.
