Creating Polls in GoSoapbox
Creating a Poll in GoSoapbox begins with you naming the poll.
You have the option of giving an Extended description if necessary. You can also add an image to the poll. This is a great area to highlight a graphic that relates to the topic being discussed (i.e. map, picture, art work). You then need to type the choices for the poll. |
After adding your choices, you will then need to select how you would like the results of the poll to display. You have the option of choosing Pie Chart or Histogram.
Soapbox also allows you to keep the results of the Poll to yourself or to share them with students. When you have made the appropriate selections, click the blue "Create Poll" button. |
Back on the main even screen you will notice that all of your quizzes, polls, and discussions are visible.
In order to make them visible to students the lock icon under the "Create" button must be unlocked. Notice to the right that the QR Code Quiz is unlocked while the Technology in the Classroom Poll is locked. To unlock the poll click on the highlighted lock icon. This is a great way to hide quizzes from certain periods. You can unlock them quickly at the beginning of class and lock them before the students leave. This prevents students from logging back into the event and copying or sharing quiz questions with one another. |
